Jay Z buys Armand de Brignac (Ace of Spade) brand


Rapper Jay Z, 44 has completed the purchase of the Armand de Brignac champagne brand also known as "ACE OF SPADE" from New York wine and spirit company Sovereign Brands for an undisclosed fee.
The Hip-hop star and business mogul who was rated by Forbes  as the third richest Hip-hop artist with an estimated net worth of $560 million has a relationship with the brand dating back to 2006 after a fall out with champagne house Louis Roederer makers of the famous "Cristal" his favorite champagne at the time.

Jay Z real name Shawn Carter and wife BeyoncĂ© in September 2006 hosted a fundraiser for President Barack Obama at his 40/40 club in Manhattan where a tower of 350 bottles of Ace of Spade worth an estimated $280,000 was made.

The gold-bottled champagne bottled at a wine-making house founded in 1763 sells for an average of $300 a bottle also has the record for the most expensive bottle of champagne ever when American gambler Don paid £120,000 GBP for a Midas Armand de Brignac in 2011.
